Constitution
Article X. Amendments
- The office of Student Activities must review all amendments in the same manner as a completely new constitution.
- Amendments to the Constitution may be made on a needed basis.
- The amendments must be motioned on the floor under new business.
- Any active member of the General Body or Executive Board can make amendments.
- Amendments must obtain a majority vote of all active members with the exception of the President.
- Amendments to the Constitution must be added by the next general meeting.
Article XI. Ratification
- The constitution shall become effective upon approval by a ¾ vote of the membership, the Council of Student Organization Umbrella Leaders and the Associate Dean of University Life / Director of Student Activities.
- The constitution may be ratified by majority vote of the active general body members only.
- All statutes, rules, and policies that are in effect at the time of ratification of the amendments and are not incoherent with the amendments, shall remain valid and binding upon the Black Student Alliance until revised in accordance with the new amendments.
