NIH Tour

The NIH tour in Bethesda, Maryland was our first event outside the university campus. We toured the Medical Center and the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering labs. Despite the relatively low turnout, the trip was an insightful experience. We hope that our experiences in planning this trip will help us to plan many more in the comming future.
Public Meeting

Our second event had a much smaller turnout. Sanaz and Sania still managed to enthusiastically introduce the society and our planned events for the summer. Dr. Peixoto was once agian able to answer questions about the bioengineering major and biomedical engineering field in general. Thanks to everyone who made it possible.
Bioengineering 101

Our first event of the semester had a great turnout. Dr. Nathalia Peixoto gave an amazing speech on her work at the neural lab in Mason and Prof. Siddhartha Sikdar added with his research on ultrasound signal analysis. In addition, Sanaz and Sania did a great job introducing Biomedical engineering and hosting the presentation. Thanks to all who made this event possible.
