Exo-Planet Talk

Want to learn more about exo-planets? Come listen to a graduate student studying them! Prabal Saxena will be discussing all the recent finding on exo-planets and why they are awesome. Delicious snacks will be provided.

 

Pi Party!

Join the Physics and Astronomy Club along with the Math Club in celebrating this famous number! There will be lots of food, games with prizes, and of course, pie! There will also be a kiosk from 9-11am on the 1st floor of the JC if you want pie earlier in the day.

Physics, Chem, and Math Holiday "De-Stress" Party

Join the Math, Physics and Astronomy and Chemistry clubs in watching funny holiday movies, karaoke, and wii games right before finals week! The goal is to have a little fun before working hard on finals, so join us! Of course, there will be some munchies and drinks to enjoy.

 

Laser Tag

Want to play free laser tag while enjoying some free food? Then come out and join the Physics and Astronomy Club at Ultrazone! More than 8 clubs have combined efforts to create an awesome, fun event where students can mingle/shoot with students in other concentrations. As stated above, this event is completely free to attend. However, it is only free for the first 150 people to reach Ultrazone. The cost to play after that number has been reached is only $12.95, a deal to play for the whole night!

 

Halloween Science Ball

Join the Math, Chemistry, and of course, the Physics and Astronomy Club in a celebration of Halloween! Decorate pumpkins, win prizes in a costume contest, try your hand at mummy wrapping and eat lots of free candy and food! The first 25 people to come to the event will receive a free mini pumpkin, theirs to decorate and take home! A showing of a Halloween-related movie will also be provided. Hope to see everyone hyped for the holiday at the party!

 

First General Meeting

Join the GMU Physics & Astronomy Club and the GMU Chemistry Club for the 1st meeting of the semester - "Cooking with Chemistry and Physics" - where we will be talking about interesting science topics, doing simple experiments, and eating some food. We will also be discussing events throughout the semester. If you would like to plan a trip or have an idea for future events, please come and let us know what you would like to do. We hope to see you all there!
