ME 362 - Mechanical Elements

Introduces common mechanical components and methods for their analysis and design. Topics include kinematic analysis and design of screws and fasteners, springs and dampers, bearings, cams, gears, clutches, brakes, and linkages; dynamic modeling of mechanisms using velocity, acceleration, and force analysis; rotor dynamics and balancing; finite element analysis; and synthesis of linkages.

Prerequisite(s): CEIE 310. Prerequisite enforced by registration system.
