ME 360 - Mechanical Engineering DesignCredits: 3 (NR)
Introduces modern engineering design methodology. Develops systematic approach to design beginning with problem specification. Topics include reverse engineering and product development, idea generation, alternative designs, and selection methods, design and analysis of basic mechanical components, computer-aided design and finite element methods. Reviews common manufacturing processes and engineering materials.
Prerequisite(s): CEIE 210. Prerequisite enforced by registration system.
