ME 350 - Mechanical Engineering Laboratory I

Credits: 1 (NR)
Introduces experimental methods in mechanical engineering. Reviews principles of measurement, sources of experimental error, quantification of experimental uncertainty, measurement standards and accuracy. Utilizes instrumentation including detectors and transducers, and digital data acquisition systems. Laboratory exercises include experimental measurements of properties of engineering materials, and experimental investigation of both mechanical and thermal systems and processes. Involves technical report writing.

Prerequisite(s): ENGR 307. Prerequisite enforced by registration system.
