Eight advanced government field courses (24 credits)
 Students must take at least one course (3 credits) from each of the four government fields listed below. Up to 3 credits of GOVT 480 may be used to fulfill this requirement with prior approval of the internship cooridnator. Up to 6 credits of 496 may be used to fulfill this requirement with prior approval of the instructor and  chair. GOVT 490 may not be used to fulfill this requirement.International and comparative politics

 Students may choose to concentrate in one of the four advanced government fields listed above by completing five courses (15 credits) in that field. They must still take one course (3 credits) in each of the other three fields and complete a total of 24 credits of field courses. GOVT 490 may not be used to fulfill a requirement for a concentration.▲ Concentration in American Politics (AMP)
