Fun organization that practices and teaches Capoeira, is welcoming to all; from experienced martial artists to members without experience ever working out. We hold various events and do multiple activities that foster friendship and help spread the Brazilian culture. A Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music, and is sometimes referred to as a game. It was developed in Brazil mainly by African descendants with native Brazilian influences, around early 16th century.
Daninho commenced Capoeira training at the age of 16 under Capoeira Candeias, and has been a Capoeira practitioner ever since. Today, Daninho trains under the supervision of Mestre Paulinho Sabia in Grupo Capoeira Brazil, an instructor who holds the rank of Estagiario within the group. Daninho presently teaches in Fairfax, VA and at George Mason University. Jasper, already wielding an extensive background in breakdancing and gymnastics, began his Capoeira training in the year of 2007. As of then, he has immersed himself in the Capoeira world, devoting time to training and traveling across the east coast, in order to play and learn more about the martial art. Jasper also studies and trains under the supervision of Mestre Paulinho Sabia in Grupo Capoeira Brazil and is currently holding the rank of Estagiario. He also teaches Capoeira in Fairfax, VA and at George Mason University.
