These are the organizations that we serve and are affiliated with BLACC!

Alpha Kappa Alpha

Omicron Iota Chapter

The purpose is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of 'Service to All Mankind'.

Akoma Circle

The purpose of Akoma Circle is to enhance the life of the Black Mason student academically, culturally, politically, and socially by instilling a sense of pride in Mason and local communities by mentoring freshmen and transfer students.

African Student Alliance

The African Student Association seeks to unite African and non-Africans, alike, by showcasing our diversity, correcting any misconceptions, and educating the Mason community of all the beauty in the continent of Africa.

Black Mambas

We are an African dance team that shares our culture through the art of dance. We teach others where various African dances stem from and what it means to our community.

Black Student Alliance

The purpose of the Black Student Alliance is to enhance the life of the Black Mason students: academically, culturally, politically, and socially by instilling a sense of ownership and pride in George Mason University.

Collegiate Black Men

Collegiate Black Men is here to develop an open and accepting community of black men, who are academically accomplished, socially responsible, and career-ready. Our purpose is to promote unity among African American males on campus by prioritizing academics and service to the community.

Chase Dreams, Not Boys

The mission of Chase Dreams, Not Boys is to inspire, uplift, and educate the minority women on campus and female youth in surrounding communities

Caribbean Student Association

CSA is a meeting place for students who share enthusiasm of the Caribbean due to Caribbean descent, or an appreciation for the region. CSA is meant to be a haven for students to interact, learn, and express their love for Caribbean culture. Our mission is to educate and celebrate the Caribbean by holding events that convey Caribbean culture.

Eritrean Ethiopian Student Association

EESA is a cultural and geographical based organization that represents the countries of Eritrea and Ethiopia. Our mission is to create a sense of community, and educate and enlighten others about our culture, history and people. We strive to bring together students from Eritrea and Ethiopia to form a greater community at George Mason University.

F1rst Gen Mason's mission is to create an educational and supportive network that will increase the retention and graduation rate of first-generation college students.

The mission of the Mason Chapter of NAACP shall be to inform youth of the problems affecting African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities; to advance the economic, education, social and political status of African Americans and other racial and ethnic minorities and their harmonious cooperation with other peoples.

National Society of Black Engineers

With more than 500 chapters and nearly 16,000 active members in the U.S. and abroad, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1975, supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students
