We are a collective of student engineering design teams competiting in local, national and international design competitions.
As the student branch of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers at George Mason University we bring professional and technical knowledge to students through hands-on experience, industry talks, and job fairs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! Most design teams are open to all students able to put in the time and contribute positively. In adddition, we also lead GMU's multidisciplinary challenge and incorporate as many different sources of student experience as possible..
ASME hosts monthy general meetings to conglomerate each student design team's updates. If you can't make these meetings, reach out to the team you're interested in working in and get in!
Time commitment varies like meeting times between teams but expect to put in 15 hours a week for the more involved competitive teams.
