AFCEA-GMU is a George Mason University student organization affiliated with the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (Northern Virginia Chapter). AFCEA-GMU shares AFCEA-NOVA’s mission, which is to promote industry-government cooperation in developing effective intelligence and information management, including the development, manufacture and operation of equipment and systems, and provision of services in the fields of signals, communications, electronics, computers, intelligence systems, command and control, and imagery.
Additionally, AFCEA-GMU encourages partnerships between technology companies and GMU, provides forums where students have fun discussing topics relevant to their professional growth, and provides services in support of the AFCEA-NOVA mission.
AFCEA is an international organization that serves its members by providing a forum for the ethical exchange of information. AFCEA is dedicated to increasing knowledge through the exploration of issues relevant to its members in information technology, communications, and electronics for the defense, homeland security and intelligence communities.
