Anointed Voices of Unity

  Yolanda Kee

Since the 2nd grade, Yolanda has wanted to become an elementary school teacher. The desire to help to make a difference in the lives of America's youth has always been with her. She is in her junior year, working towards a B.A in Integrative Studies with a concentration in (Elementary Ed.K-6) and a minor in Theater. She decided to come to Mason because she wanted to be near a vibrant theater city and since New York was too far and D.C too expensive; it was settled that Mason's location to D.C, student diversity and recognized curriculum would be the first pick. In Lynchburg, Virginia, Yolanda was an active member in the E.C Glass chamber choir and went to the VA.All-Districts senior year. She loves and enjoys every aspect of the performing arts and sees that God has given her talents in those areas. When she is not at Mason, she instructs dance and mime at the Fellowship Church of Christ Church and tutors at her community outreach center. Every day she is growing in her relationship with Christ and learning to appreciate all of God's many blessings! Her favorite scripture is Ecles. 3:1-22.( "There is a time and a season for every activity under heaven...") Her favorite gospel artists are Israel and New Breed, Smokie Norful and Yolanda Adams. This is her third year in AVU and she is anxious to see what God has in store for the choir this school year!
