Mercy
D. Hunter is originally from Bronx, New York by way of Richmond, VA. She is a Mathematical Sciences major in her junior year. Her goal is to graduate within 3 and 1/2 years with the Lord's help in Fall 2005! With her 3 years here, she was GMU's Homecoming Queen 2002 (Freshmen Year), treasurer of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., member of NAACP, Presidential Student Advisory Council, IMPACT, and Summer Resident Advisor. She is currently the President of Anointed Voices of Unity for the past two years and a Resident Advisor in the TAP area. She praises God for the accomplishments and she knows that with GOD "all things are possible." She is excited to see what the Lord has enstore for the choir this year because it is going on a higher level. She is very sociable and easy going. She loves to bring a smile in a room and offer an inviting atmosphere. She loves, sleeping (of course), singing, reading, exercising, stepping, mime dancing, going to the movies, skating ri
nk or bowling, she loves church (Fresh Anointing International Christian Ministries....."God Is Working It All Out") and she loves doing things for the Lord!
God has really brought Mercy a long, long way. There are so many stories and testimonies that she can share, to convince somebody that there IS A GOD! Her verse throughout her years in college is "Though he slay me, yet will I trust him" (Job 13:15a). She does not have a favorite gospel artist, but she loves all contemporary gospel singers, such as J. Moss, Brent Jones, Karen Clark Sheard, Marvin Sapp, Smokie Noreful and others. As you see, Mercy is a very busy individual and KNOWS that GOD is doing it all.
